Mindbody
“Not-Seeing is Believing” at Lotus Loft
Ever catch yourself practicing Yoga with your eyes closed and almost instantaneously feel a deeper sense of connection to not only your practice but some of your other senses as well? One of the 8 limbs of Yoga is Pratyahara- Sensory Withdrawal. Pratya means to withdraw, ahara means take in. It is the 5th limb just after Yamas (morals), Niyamas (observances), Asana (postures), and Pranayama (Breathing techniques) most of which you have likely heard of.
Pratyahara encourages us to withdraw from distraction (whether internal or external) to shift to a deeper level of introspection. This workshop will not only educate you but also encourage you to go within building courage, trust, and concentration as you flow with Blindfolds on. Followed by a super juicy and relaxing Savasana to balance it all out, leaving you relaxed and fulfilled.
Please sign up with an open mind and a foundational understanding of the Asanas. Leave your expectations at home, bringing only your mat, towel, and water as this is going to be a fun opportunity to practice with an open mind and a playful vibe! Blindfolds are included in admission
